Hok Tsui is a cape in the south of Shek O and D’Aguilar Peak on southeastern Hong Kong Island. The peninsula, where the cape is on its southeastern side, is also known as Cape D’Aguilar. It is named after Major-General George Charles D’Aguilar, the commander of the British Army and the first Deputy Governor of Hong Kong during the early days. Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir is located in the Southern District of Hong Kong Island. It was built in 1917 and was known as the “Asia’s First Dam”. A large number of old historical buildings have been preserved around the pond, including the Tai Tam Tuk Dam, the water pond house and the pumping station, which are listed as legal monuments.

    → Cape D’Aguilar Marine Reserve is a coastal protected area and was established for the purpose of protecting natural ecology. It is mainly based for scientific research.  Due to the extremely rich coastal life and biodiversity, it is listed as the only coastal protected area in Hong Kong.


    → Cape D’Aguilar Lighthouse is the first lighthouse in Hong Kong. The current lighthouse building is a white round stone tower. The bottom part of the lighthouse, the arched doorway and the spiral staircase are all made of stone with exquisite workmanship


    → Lunch


    → Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir’s main dam consists of the Tai Tam Upper Reservoir, the Sub-Reservoir, the Middle Reservoir, and the Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir. It is one of the six pre-war reservoirs in Hong Kong
