In the eyes of many mountaineers, Buddhists and those who would like to strengthen their spiritual mind, Nepal is a place where they must make pilgrimages to. The double triangle design of Nepal’s national flag symbolises that the country is surrounded by mountains. Eight of the world's ten highest mountains, including Mount Everest, Annapurna Massif and Kangchenjunga, the sacred mountain of the Sikkimese, are all located within Nepal’s territory or at its border. Climbing the Himalayas is the ultimate aspiration for many mountaineers. They will first take the flight that departs at Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and head to Tenzing–Hillary Airport. After arriving at the airport, they will then go to Namche Bazaar on foot. It is followed by some rest and replenishment. Finally, they will begin their journey to conquer the peaks of the Himalayas one after another under the lead of a Sherpa guide.

This boosts the popularity of Nepal as a place of pilgrimage for yoga practitioners and those who would like to strengthen their spiritual minds. Today, more and more tourists visit Nepal to have meditation under the instruction of masters, in order to enjoy a moment of silence. Even Doctor Strange, the main character in the Marvel movie, has visited the Ancient One in Nepal to seek cure and mentorship on magic.
Nepalis are known for their optimism and hospitality. On the other hand, their toughness is renowned as well. The Gurkhas, who mainly comprise of soldiers of Nepali nationality and ethnic Nepalese, are considered to be the toughest soldiers of all time. In addition, the Sherpa, one of the few ethnic groups in Nepal that is full of mountaineering elites, always serve as guides at the extreme altitudes of the peaks. Not only do they have great similes, they also have strong souls. This is why they have been living such a wonderful and fruitful life on the mountains.

A Nepalese’s daily life is inseparable from worshiping, prayers and religious ceremonies. 80% of Nepalese are Hindus, about 10% are Buddhists, and some are Muslims and practices other religions. Most Nepalese avoid eating pork, and beef, and many of them are vegetarians. Animals such as ox, monkey, dog and crow are often regarded as incarnations of gods in Nepal.
There are many rules to follow when visiting Hindu temples. Non-Hindus are generally not allowed to enter temples. It is not advisable for women to wear shorts, tight pants and vests.
Nepal cuisine is mainly originated from India and partially fromTibet. Rice is the staple food in most parts of Nepal. The staple food of the people living in the rural area is mainly corn, millet and buckwheat. Nepalese usually have rice with Dhal, curry-flavoured vegetables and meat as their meal. They also like eating roti, potatoes, green vegetable and lamb. Milk and tea are the drinks they like. They use a plate to contain their meal and grab with bare hands to eat.
