Address: Chuy Ave, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Between Ala-Too Square and National History Museum, there lies the main street of Bishkek. Chuy Prospekti is connecting Deng Xiaoping Prospekti in the west and the east border of the city, which resembles its counterpart Chang'an Avenue in front of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. These two streets become the main avenue of the city and is considered as the most bustling area of the city.
The street was once called Stalin Prospekti and Lenin Prospekti to commemorate the Soviet leaders. It was later renamed after Chuy River that flows by the city after the independence of the country. You can find business buildings and different governmental departments on both sides of the street. Mayor’s office and Osh Bazaar can also be found on the street. There you can witness the bustling side of Bishkek and the rapid development of the country.
