Slovenia Boutique Travel Route

【The Balkan Tour】

Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina → Dubrovnik, Split, Plitvice and Zagreb in Croatia → Maribor, Celje, Lake Bled, Postojna, Ljubljana and Piran in Slovenia

The Balkan Peninsula is a land of beauty and sadness. This land is called “the arsenal of Europe” against the backdrop of the enchanting landscape. World War I broke out on this peninsula. Later in the 1990s, with the dissolution of Yugoslavia, the outbreak of the Yugoslav Wars, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia, the three constituent republics of Yugoslavia that were religiously and culturally different from one another, became the centre of the civil war. After the civil war, the battered Balkans was finally able to take the road of reconciliation. The countries in the western part of the peninsula became members of the European Union (EU) or chose to work closely with it, taking them onto the highway of development. Kicking off your journey in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the centre of conflict in the earlier days, and set your feet in Croatia and Slovenia, you can witness the changes experienced by the three states that restored independence from Yugoslavia at the first stage. The breathtaking scenery and unique cultures there will definitely have you impressed.
